1964 Comet Caliente Convertible (restored)
1964 Mercury K code Convert
This gorgeous SURVIVOR convertible is now up for sale. This Carnival Red gem was found in the corner of a shop in Colton, Oregon. The brakes were done in 1992 locally at 48000 miles and the car was driven less than 1000 miles since 1992 and has only 49963 miles. The ododmeter works well and this is a survivor that hasn't ever been repainted. Unfortunately the previous owner of this gem passed away so the estate sold the car to us.
THIS IS A "K" CODE 221 HP 289 CU IN. 4 BARREL CAR WITH POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES,POWER TOP, AND AN AUTOMATIC TRANS. IT IS HARD TO FIND GREAT SURVIVOR MERCS WITH UNDER 50K MILES REGARDLESS OF STYLE. THIS IS A K CODE CONVERT FOLKS AND IT IS FACTORY CARNIVAL RED!!!! DOES IT GET ANY BETTER?? MY GOOD FRIEND STEVE BENNER DID THE MAC DADDY DETAIL ON THIS CAR BUT BELIEVE ME, IT DID NOT NEED MUCH. IT HAS A NEWER FLOWMASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM AND EVERYTHING SEEMS TO WORK AS INTENDED UINCLUDING THE BACKUP LIGHTS AND INTERIOR COURTESY LIGHTING! THIS IS LIKE A MINI TIME CAPSULE.
THE COMET IS A CALIENTE AND THE INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL!!! WOW!! STEVE INSTALLED NEW CARPET BUT OTHER THAN THAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT A BASICALLY UNMOLESTED COMET. UNDER THE STOCK HUB CAPS IS A SET OF 67 MUSTANG GT WHEELS. PRETTY NICE PIECE IMHO. Went to SoCal
