THIS 1967 FASTBACK "S" CODE GT 4 SPD MUSTANG IS WHAT WE THINK IS THE FINEST SURVIVOR LOW MILE ( 28,161) S CODE ON THE PLANET. PERHAPS FORD MOTOR HAS A NEW ONE IN THE MUSEUM BUT WE HAVEN'T SEEN IT IF IT EXISTS. THE CAR RESIDES WITHIN A 50 MILE RADIUS OF WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED NEW IN 1967 AT DALLAS FORD IN DALLAS, OREGON. YES,DALLAS OREGON!
THE DOCUMENTATION INCLUDES STATE OF OREGON TRANSFER OF TITLE DOCS, MAGAZINE ARTICLES, AND OF COURSE, OWNER SIGNATURES OF LOW MILEAGE. IT IS EASY TO SEE HOW THE CAR HAS BEEN MAINTAINED BY LOOKING CLOSELY AT THE ENTIRE CAR. IT WAS GARAGE AND LIVING ROOM KEPT FOR 46 YEARS.
THE ENGINE HAS BEEN HOT TANKED, MAGGED,REFRESHED WITH THE UTMOST EXPERT ATTENTION AS FOLLOWS:
HOT TANKED, MAGGED, WALNUT BLASTED,OIL GALLEY MODIFICATIONS,ENLARGEMENT OF THE OIL PUMP INLET TO 1/2",SQUARE DECKED,LINE BORED .030, AND BALANCED. THE BLOCK IS AN ORIGINAL S CODE C6ME-A HIGH NICKEL GT BLOCK, THE INTAKE IS A C6ME-G DATE CODED 6-J-1, THE HEADS ARE DATE CODED GT HEADS 6-F-27/26 JULY 26,27 1966 AND THEY HAVE HARDENED SEATS WITH STAINLESS STEEL VALVES AND HAVE ORIGINAL GT VALVE SPRINGS ,RETAINERS AND KEEPERS.THE ROCKERS ARE REBUILT ORIGINALS WITH NEW PUSH RODS. THE BREAK IN USED JOE GIBBS OIL ,LUCAS CAM OIL,AND CORRECT MOTORCRAFT OIL FILTER. THE FRESHENED BLOCK WAS INSTALLED IN THE MUSTANG VIN 7R02S144014 IN MARCH 2014 AFTER A SURGICAL CLEANSING OF THE ENGINE BAY. THE TRANS IS THE ORIGINAL RUG WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER 144014.
AN EXTENSIVE BREAKIN WAS FOLLOWED AND THE ENGINE RUNS EXCEPTIONALLY WELL WITH ZERO ISSUES.
SINCE THE CAR IS ORIGINAL, THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH THE DRIVE TRAIN, WIRING, STEERING, BRAKES, OR ANYTHING ELSE. THE CAR IS NEAR PERFECT! EVEN THE 8 TRACK TAPE PLAYER WORKS THROUGH THE STEREO SPEAKERS(AM AND 8 TRACK ONLY) NO FM BAND ON THIS ONE.ONE CLOSE INSPECTION OF THE CAR WILL BLOW AWAY EVEN THE MOST DISCERNING FORD ENTHUSIAST. THE MUSTANG LOOKS AND RIDES LIKE A 28,000 MILE CAR SHOULD. SINCE THE TIRES ARE RADIALS THE CAR ACTUALLY RIDES BETTER THAN NEW. LOL
THE NUMBERS ARE CORRECT AND DOCUMENTED FOR THIS CAR 7R02S144014 AND WE DO NOT THINK YOU COULD FIND A NICER SURVIVOR. THERE HAVE BEEN TINY TOUCH- UPS BY AN EXPERT BUT THE CAR MAINTAINS IT'S ORIGINAL PAINT AND ACCOUTREMENTS. THE CARB,INTAKE,HEADS,BLOCK,AND ALL THE BOLT- ONS ARE ORIGINAL 1967 GT "S" CODE PARTS FOR THIS MUSTANG.FOR THE NAYSAYERS THERE IS AMPLE DOCUMENTATION TO VERIFY OUR STATEMENTS HEREIN.
THE MARTI REPORT SHOWS EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER AND MATCHING THE VIN.WE LOVE THIS CAR AS A NEAR PERFECT EXAMPLE OF FORD'S PREMIER MUSCLE CAR FOR 1967. BIGGEST MOTOR FOR A MUSTANG WITH A 4 SPEED AND GT PACKAGE. CAN YOU SAY "BULLITT"..........SURVIVOR......TIME CAPSULE???
