1967 BRONCO UNCUT RESTORED (restored)
1967 FORD BRONCO
WE ARE PLEASED TO PRESENT THIS GORGEOUS AND UNMOLESTED BRONCO. THE SAME OWNER HAD THIS OVER 40 YEARS AND TOOK GREAT CARE OF THE BRONK. THE ENGINE HAS BEEN REBUILT THE TRANS AND TRANSFER CASE WORK WELL, AND THE DRIVETRAIN IS TIGHT AS CAN BE.WE JUMPED IN THIS ONE AND DID A 100 MILE ROAD TEST THAT YIELDED ONLY ONE SMALL ISSUE. THE BURST TANK ON THE RADIATOR HAS A PINHOLE WHERE SOMETHING SHARP HIT THE BRASS AND WE WILL BRAZE IT . THE BURST TANK IS STOCK!
THE BRONK HAS A REBUILT 289 (1968 BLOCK)
REBUILT 2 BARREL STOCK CARB
STOCK AIR CLEANER, EXHAUST MANIFOLDS, WINDOW WASHER RESERVOIR, AND ENGINE BAY.
WE INSTALLED NEW MAGNAFLOW DUAL EXHAUST, FRONT SPRINGS WITH A 2" LIFT, REAR LIFT BLOCK, NEW SHOCKS, U BOLTS, SERVICED THE DRIVELINES AND OF COURSE IT HAS NEW TIRES AND HUBCAPS TO MAKE IT LOOK BONE STOCK.
WE LOVE THESE VINTAGE UNMOLESTED BRONKS.
THIS ONE STARTS INSTANTLY, HAS A FRESH CLUTCH, AND SHIFTS SILK SMOOTH. I HAMMERED IT DOWN THE FREEWAY AND DIDN'T EVEN GET A HICCUP. IT STEERS EXCELLENTLY, BRAKES WELL, AND HAS NONE OF THE ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH THE EARLY BRONKS AT THIS TIME.
THE WIPERS ARE UPGRADED FROM VACUUM TO DUAL ELECTRIC MOTORS. ALTHOUGH THEY ARE NOT SYNCHRONIZED THEY ARE WAY MO BETTA THAN THE VACUUM ORIGINALS.
WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL, THE ORIGINAL "KOENIG IRON WORKS MANUAL, AND THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S CARD TOGETHER WITH RECEIPTS AND A RELATIVELY CLEAR HISTORY OF THE VEHICLES OWNERSHIP. (SAME OWNER IN MONTANA OVER 40 YEARS). THAT'S CLEAR ENOUGH FOR US!
WHEN DRIVING WE HEARD NO BEARING, STEERING, BRAKE, OR MECHANICAL NOISES THAT ARE INDICATIVE OF TROUBLE.EVERYTHING WORKS AS DESIGNED AND YOU HAVE FUN DRIVING. WE REALLY TRUST THIS BRONK.THIS IS THE FIRST BRONCO I HAVE SEEN THAT RETAINS IT'S INSIDE PTO ENGAGEMENT RODS AND BOOT. TOO COOL.
THE INTERIOR IS ALL NEW AND THE BED IS RHINO LINED GREY.
THE ROLL BAR IS PADDED BUT NOT SUBSTANTIAL FOR ROLLOVERS IN OUR OPINION. WE CAN EASILY INSTALL THREE POINT SHOULDER LAP RETRACTABLE BELTS FOR THE UP FRONT PERSONNEL IF DESIRED.
THE PINHOLE LEAK OF ANTI FREEZE AND A LITTLE SEEPAGE AT THE TRANSFER CASE/PTO SHIFTER ARE THE ONLY "ISSUES" AT THIS TIME.
THE BRONCO IS A SUPER CLEAN AND MECHANICALLY AWESOME OLD BRONK!
WE THINK THE 3:50 GEARS ARE ADEQUATE IF WE GO TO A SLIGHTLY LARGER CIRCUMFERENCE TIRE LIKE A 31-9:50R15. FREEWAY SPEEDS ARE HIGHER RPM THAN WE ARE USED TO IN OUR EVERYDAY CARS. OLD TECHNOLOGY ON NEW ROADS. LOL
THE BUSHINGS, SHOCKS, STEERING LINKAGE, DRAG LINK, AND STEERING DAMPNER ARE NEW. THE BRONK HOLDS IT'S LANE WONDERFULLY WELL. WE HAVE A FLOOR SHIFT CONVERSION AVAILABLE SHOULD YOU DECIDE YOU DON'T LIKE THE "NOSTALGIC LOOK" AND FEEL OF THE THREE ON THE TREE.IT DOES YIELD MORE LEG ROOM IN THE STOCK CONFIGURATION.
ALL IN ALL WE LOVE THIS NOSTALGIC RIDE AND THINK IT WILL GIVE ANOTHER 40 YEARS OF JOY TO THE NEW OWNER. THESE OLD BRONKS NEVER DIE, THEY JUST GET NEW COWBOYS.
