3.25 Locking axle ratio

Sold new in California, spent all of its life in California, Oregon, and Idaho. This car has been stored inside for the great majority of its life and is as rust free as one can get for original.

Options include: 4 speed wide ratio transmission, locking differential, convenience control panel, visibility group, FR70x14 Wide Oval Tires, Console, Power disc brakes, Power steering, Air conditioning, AM/FM stereo radio, rear seat speakers, tachometer, and tinted glass.

around $4500 in receipts for Motor rebuild work done by Precision Automotive & Machine Shop in Ontario, Oregon work included: surface intake, clean and magnaflux, valve seats, valve guides, grind valves, full gasket kit, push rods, install copper sleeves, pressure test block, hot tank, grind crank, balance motor, line bore block, recondition connecting rods, surface exhaust manifolds, line bore block, etc.

Engine block correctly reads C7ME-A (2) which decodes as a 1968 GT 390 high nickel block. Meanwhile, the engine build date (by the oil filter housing) reads 8B15 (I believe…sort of hard to read) which decodes as a 1968 motor built February 15th (car was finished March 21st of 1968). This would be the correct block for the car.

Transmission housing has the numbers on the top of C8AR 7006-D W 2 with a buck tag reading of RUG J 2 021538. (RUG J2 decodes as a 1967-1969 390 wide ratio 28 spline) The Marti report verifies the car having a transmission of 5, which correlates with a 4 speed wide ratio manual transmission.

Factory tachometer converted to 3 wire

A ton of receipts including correct coded hoses, clamps, and misc parts from Dearborn Classics and Macs.

WE THINK THAT IT MAY BE ONE OF THE NICEST AND MOST ORIGINAL ONE REPAINT GT'S AVAILABLE. OUR INTEREST IN THE MUSCLE CARS HAS ALWAYS BEEN FASTBACKS AND THIS ONE IS ONE OF THE BEST. THE MARTI REPORT LISTS IT AS IT IS EQUIPPED TODAY. THE DUAL EXHAUST EXIT THE REAR INSTEAD OF BEHIND THE REAR WHEEL AND THAT IS THE ONLY DIFFERENCE.

THIS PARTICULAR HIGHLAND GREEN GT IS RARE BECAUSE IT IS AN X PLAN CAR THAT HAS A 10.5:1 COMPRESSION 4V ENGINE COUPLED TO THE WIDE RATIO 4 SPEED AND FACTORY AIR. IT ALSO HAS THE 3:25 TRAC LOC REAR DIFF GEARS. A SPECIAL ORDER GO FAST FASTBACK!!
THE CAR IS AMAZING, PERIOD.
