WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON A COOL OLD TRUCK THAT IS KINDA HARD TO FIND. IT IS A 1979 FORD F SERIES 4X4 SUPERCAB LONG BED LARIAT.THE TRUCK HAS 51000 ORIGINAL MILES ON THE ACTUAL TRUCK. THE MOTOR IS A CONVERSION TO DIESEL. THE DIESEL V8 WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN 79. CHECK OUT THE YOU TUBE MOVIE TITLED: 79 EM2 SUPERCAB DIESEL WALK AROUND.

MITCHELL 2000 GEAR SPLITTER (RATED AT 1700 FT LBS) MAKING THE TRUCK AN 8 SPEED IF YOU NEED THE EXTRA GEARS.
LARIAT PKG INCLUDED POWER STEERING, POWER DISC BRAKES, AIR CONDITIONING, CRUISE CONTROL, TILT WHEEL, DELUXE INTERIOR, AND BODY SIDE MOLDING.

THE BODY IS MOST EXCELLENT AND THE RIG IS RUST FREE. IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE LOS ANGELES SALES DISTRICT AND SPENT IT'S LIFE IN THE BAKERSFIELD CA. AREA. NO UNDERCOATING AND NO APPARENT RUST. TOO COOL

WE INSTALLED THE GEAR SPLITTER, NEW PRO COMP EXTREME 16X8 WHEELS, NEW IRONMAN 33X12.50 R 16 MUD TERRAIN TIRES, RE-WORKED THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM, NEW FILTERS, OIL,TRANS, AND DIFFERENTIAL SERVICES, BUFFED THE PAINT, INSTALLED NEW GLOW PLUGS, BATTERIES, AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSHINGS, OIL PAN AND CROSS MEMBER ALTERATIONS ETC SO THAT IT IS A COPASETIC DRIVETRAIN.
THE TRUCK HAS A 4:11 TRAC LOC ,FLOATING ONE TON REAR AXLES, AND THE 3/4 TON DANA 44 UP FRONT, F-350 SPRINGS, AND A BULLETPROOF 4 SPEED. THE LINKAGE FOR THE GEAR SPLITTER IS BY MITCHELL AND WORKS WELL. THE GEAR SPLITTER WAS REBUILT 7-3-15 AND THE DRIVELINES ARE NEW AS WELL.

THE INTERIOR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. ALL WE HAD TO DO WAS INSTALL THE STEREO SYSTEM THAT INCORPORATED THE AMP, SUB WOOFERS, AND MID RANGE BEHIND THE SEAT. THE JUMP SEATS IN THE REAR ARE INTACT AND LOOK LIKE NO ONE EVER SAT BACK THERE. THE LARIAT INTERIOR IS COMFY, QUIET, AND SOMEWHAT DATED BUT THAT'S HOW FORD PRODUCED IT.WE INSTALLED NEW DOOR WEATHERSTRIP SO THE TRUCK IS SUPER QUIET WHILE DRIVING.

ALL IN ALL WE THINK THE SUPERCAB LONG BED 4X4 IS A GREAT FIND IN SUCH NICE SHAPE. WE LIKE THE BODY STYLE BETTER THAN THE NEWER PICKUPS AND THE GALVANIZED INNER FENDERS AND FULL FRAME MAKE IT ONE OF FORD'S BETTER IDEAS.

WHAT IS NEEDED: THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS DISABLED WITH THE DIESEL SWAP. THE AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR IS MISSING ON THE DIESEL CONVERSION BUT THE REST OF THE AC IS INTACT INCLUDING THE DASH VENTS AND SWITCHING.( IT WAS AN AC TRUCK FROM THE FACTORY).WE ARE INSTALLING THE TACH AND HOUR METER WHEN THE TACH SENSOR GETS HERE. THE AFTERMARKET PYROMETER NEEDS TO BE HOOKED UP AGAIN. WE WILL DO THAT BEFORE THE TRUCK SHIPS OUT. CALL MARTY OR MOLLY 503 793 0204
